Retail Store Manager
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Zipline Park
- Ensure site operations meet safety standards, conduct regular inspections and risk assessments.
- Recruit, hire, train, develop, and communicate with all staff to ensure exceptional guest service is provided, safety standards are upheld, fostering a positive and motivated team environment.
- Maintain efficient staffing, clear delegation.
- Coordinate efforts by disseminating corporate policies and procedures with site-specific practices for staff management, maintenance, and risk assessments.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs for site operations team members.
- Support PPE inspections to ensure compliance.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
Retail Tourism Store
- Analyze store reports to evaluate store performance.
- Responsible for ordering products in a timely manner, maintaining appropriate levels of inventory relative to the seasonal business of tourism.
- Manages operations of the stockroom and sales floor to ensure that new merchandise is being logged, priced and put on the sales floor in a timely manner.
- Proficient with technology, specifically with cash registers and computers.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- A Passion for outdoor activities and adventure.
- Ideally 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably with a focus in the recreation, leisure, or hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of driving operational excellence.
- Actively encourage and support new and innovative ideas from all team members on how to improve the business.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, staff, and employers at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a results-driven mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel.
SCHEDULE/HOURS:
- A minimum of 40-45 hours per week. Holidays, evenings and weekend hours are necessary, based on seasonality of business.
- Position is full time with no layoff during off-season.
