POSITION SUMMARY:
In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store openings and remodels within North America (US and Canada). Working closely with local teams and international partners, you'll ensure the design, development, and execution of retail architectural projects. ensuring that all projects meet the client’s vision, budget, and timeline of our 50 plus and growing retails stores in the United States and Canada. This role will report to the President of North America and have one direct report.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Manage the entire store opening and remodeling process, from feasibility studies to grand opening.
- Ensure all projects adhere to Läderach’s Corporate Identity guidelines.
- Oversee design sign-off, building permits, tender processes, quality management, time and budget control.
- Lead individual projects such as display rollouts, store design evaluations, and development of design guidelines.
- Support procurement projects and drive cost optimization initiatives.
- Manage relationships with external partners like project management offices, design agencies, construction companies, and millwork suppliers.
- Collaborate with the Retail team on maintenance construction activities.
We are looking for someone who:
- Ideally possesses an architectural background with experience in retail development.
- Has a proven track record in retail construction, retail design, or project management of similar projects.
- Is experienced in sourcing and managing external partners, including briefing and steering them to achieve project goals.
- Thrives in a cross-functional environment and has the ability to involve internal and external stakeholders at the right stage of the project.
- Is proficient in Office 365 (Excel, PPT), Teams, and AutoCAD or similar software.
- Builds strong relationships with both internal and external partners.
- Is highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English. German fluency is a plus, but not required.
- Demonstrates resilience, flexibility, and the ability to work independently.
- Is willing to travel domestically and internationally 75% of the time.
