Job Summary
United Legwear is looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales Advisor to join our team at our Ted Baker Bloomingdale's Chestnut Hill location. The Sales Advisor will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales, and upholding the Ted Baker brand's high standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing an outstanding shopping experience.
Essential Functions (including but not limiting to):
- A high level of team participation, working with integrity and respect for others.
- Actively drive and document your own learning to contribute to the success of the team and location.
- Be adaptable and flexible to the needs of the business in support of the team and the location.
- Develop strategic partnerships and maintain productive relationships with host store partners.
- Use all available Ted’s trainings, tools and information to keep up to date on current product and increase awareness of the product in terms such as Called, Color, Composition, Cost, Care, Cut (The 6 C’s.)
- Use product knowledge to generate sales and increase customer loyalty to the brand.
- Follow merchandising guidelines, replenishment procedures and housekeeping standards to ensure that Ted is represented at the highest level.
- Support the management team with executing visual merchandising directives.
- Demonstrate all requirements of Ted’s trainings and standards.
- Delivering Greet, Observe, Talk, Fit, Assist Thank (GOTFAT) with enthusiasm and consistency while understanding the impact of actions on the customer experience and sales.
- Have a good understanding of local and customer profiles and use of sales techniques in order to build loyal customer relationships.
- Actively seek knowledge and take personal ownership of achieving and exceeding location KPI’s and supporting all brand promotions and initiatives.
- Drive B-connected performance by promoting the use of database building and clienteling.
- Have a strong commercial awareness of our competitors and local markets.
- Be proactive and complete all tasks correctly and efficiently following Company policies and procedures with an ability to work unsupervised.
- Adhere to all Company health and safety procedures. Use equipment properly and report any potentially unsafe conditions to management.
- Adhere to all loss prevention measures and protect the assets of the Company by immediately reporting any misuse or theft of Company property to the Manager.
- Accountable for accurate cash handling and banking procedures highlighting and resolving discrepancies as a matter of priority as outlined by your host store.
- Previous experience in a retail sales role, preferably in fashion.
- Strong customer service skills with a passion for providing a high-quality shopping experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer inquiries and issues professionally.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Enthusiasm for fashion and a keen interest in the Ted Baker brand.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in fashion or retail management is a plus.
The physical demands and working conditions outlined below are representative of those required for this role to effectively perform the essential job functions. This role will be performed at a retail store location in a fast-paced, customer-facing, and bustling environment with varying noise levels which often include periods of high noise levels throughout the workday. In this role employees are regularly expected to walk and stand for extended periods which will occur on a daily basis, as well as frequently use their hands during their workday for tasks involving handling, feeling, pushing, and reaching for company products. This role requires regular typing and manipulation of electronic systems, and a primary role of this position is to engage in regular communication with customers, staff, and third parties, including speaking and listening actively throughout the workday with others in a professional manner. This role will also include stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, as necessary. The ability to lift, pull, push, and/or move up to 50 pounds is required. Vision abilities for close and distance viewing related to electronic systems and/or physical products are also required on a regular basis. Working conditions may involve dynamic changes in pace and activity level, necessitating flexibility and promptness to perform tasks in various physical positions.
This is an onsite retail position at our Soho - Bloomingdale's location.
