Stickley is striving for excellence in a fast-changing world, and we're looking for an energetic professional who is eager to manage our retail marketing efforts in our Manlius headquarters. Working closely with our in-house team of marketing professionals, the Marketing Manager will bring best practices and cross-functional collaboration to the position. Our Stickley Furniture | Mattress stores were chosen as the top place to shop for furniture by Consumer Reports in February 2021, and we are looking for a dedicated professional who can manage and help build our retail promotions, track site and sales data, work closely with our ad agency, track expenditures and align our brand with retail initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to manage large projects, find strategic advantages, understand the competitive landscape, analyze marketing data and optimize results that show a constant improvement.
Objectives of this Role
- Drive consumer traffic and retail sales through promotional activities.
- Produce effective campaigns that educate and inspire prospects and consumers to choose Stickley Furniture | Mattress.
Responsibilities
- Align our overall brand with our Retail initatives and foster clear communication with other Marketing team members
- Develop strategies and tactics to drive qualified traffic to our 16 retail locations.
- Build a yearly promotional calendar that incorporates our brand needs with our Retail objectives.
- Deploy successful marketing campaigns and own their implementation from ideation to execution.
- Produce valuable and engaging content for our retail site and direct-to-consumer communication (print, TV, email campaigns, etc.) that attracts and converts our target groups.
- Work directly with the merchandising, ecommerce and web teams to produce promotions that are in alignment with our brick and mortar stores.
- Work directly with retail showroom managers to disseminate and deploy upcoming promotional details.
- Build a strong working relationship with our ad agency.
- Prepare and monitor the marketing budget on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
- Oversee and approve marketing material, from site content to hard copy brochures, TV scripts and CRM communications.
- Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight, assess against goals and optimize for future success.
- Analyze consumer behavior and adjust email and advertising campaigns accordingly.
- Other duties as directed.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience building complex marketing programs and reporting on the results.
- Exposure to digital and direct response marketing.
- Prior retail marketing experience a plus.
- Project management skills. Formal PMO training a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, has a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business or similar, and is familiar with the following software/tools:

- Mail Chimp
- Buffer
- Google Analytics
- Microsoft Office
- Competence as a creative writer with an eye for great emails and landing pages.
- Experience managing a small team of marketing professionals.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability, including metrics-driven thinking.
- Ability to travel as necessary.
