Sodexo's Campus Segment is seeking a Retail Manager 2 for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, NY. Candidate will be responsible for budgets, menu planning/costing, client interaction, inventory, and guest interaction. RPI is a private four year institution serving 7,500 students, faculty and staff. Sodexo on campus at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), is seeking a Retail Food Service Manager who will be responsible for a high-volume C-Store (convenience store), and two retail food courts located in the Student Union. Venues include both in-house brands and sub-contracted locations including Sub Connection, Sandellas, a salad and pizza concept, a deli, Mega Burger, Thunder Mountain Currie and many more. This is a high profile position which involves regular contact with client and student board. C-Store experience would be very helpful in this position, as there is tremendous growth potential.
Are you the experienced Retail Manager we’re seeking?
The successful candidate will:
- motivate, coach, mentor and develop frontline (hourly-paid), staff;
- provide stellar customer service;
- oversee cash handing processes, and POS programming and maintenance;
- ensure company food and physical safety programs and standards are followed;
- conduct retail brand standard audits (in-house and national brands);
- maintain integrity of retail branded concept standards (national and in-house brands);
- manage the opening and closing the operation as well daily retail food service operations;
- ensure all needed signage (including digital) is in place;
- manage vendor relationships and compliance; and/or
- maintain all product merchandising, marketing and ordering standards are in place.
