SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:
- Provide cashier and/or carry out services as scheduled. Enforce cashier policies and procedures (processing payments, vouchers, balancing cash drawer, etc.).
- Transport merchandise to the sales floor, display, stock shelves, and racks, rotating as needed.
- Load sold items when needed.
- Provide support in other store functions such as evaluating donation quality to build an inventory for resale, loading, unloading, sorting, and processing of donations. Also helps to organize and maintain seasonal goods storage.
- Accept donations, and write receipts for merchandise donated by donors as needed.
- Maintain program participant/volunteer confidentiality at all times.
- Maintain a neat, orderly, and clean sales floor and cashier areas at all times. Maintain general store and donation area cleanliness throughout the store’s business hours to ensure a safe work environment.
- Assist in store recovery as needed.
- Assist in the supervision, placement, training, and cross-training of all program participants/ volunteers assigned to the thrift store.
- Work cooperatively with all team members to help them and the department attain overall goals.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals and metrics are met.
- Provides courteous and respectful customer service at all times, answers telephone, and redirects call to the proper department.
- Support management in daily store operations and ensure store procedures and protocol is followed by staff and volunteers.
- Maintains outdoor facilities including parking lots, gates, and mini mobiles.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Location: must be able to provide direct service to the designated client base in the Tucson area.
- Maintain a functional and safe home working space with adequate internet connection for the job.
- Comply with all agency and program policies and procedures including confidentiality, employee conduct, computer usage and dress code.
- Meet program/department’s performance and productivity standards.
- Attend required agency and program/department meetings.
- Adhere to the schedule agreed upon with the supervisor.
- Follow and model CFR’s core values.
- Participate in PQI initiatives.
- Must be eligible and able to obtain a Level one fingerprint card.
- Must have a valid Arizona driver’s license, vehicle and meet agency liability insurance requirements.
- Sitting for extended periods daily; standing and walking short distances.
- Moderate twisting, bending, stooping, and lifting to 40 pounds in the performance of assigned duties.
- Ability to use a variety of office equipment and machines as referenced.
- Normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination are required.
- Repeated hand-wrist movement is required.
- The pay rate for this position starts at $15.20 per hour.
