The Ugly Grouper is the place to be on Anna Maria Island! We are known for our great food, cold drinks, and fun times. The Ugly Grouper is looking for highly motivated, positive Retail Associate who love being a part of a team and strive to ensure customer satisfaction! This position would entail being cross-trained to work as retail with our Ugly Grouper Merchandise and learning some front of house duties.

Retail Duties & Responsibilities:

• Come to work with a positive attitude, high energy, and a professional appearance
• Greet customers quickly and pleasantly as they enter store
• Provide outstanding customer service with a friendly and upbeat attitude
• Process accurate and efficient sale and return transactions
• Take inventory on a regular basis
• Understand and utilize basic selling skills to properly engage and present solutions to our customers

• Handle cash, payments, and correctly bill the guest
• Be mindful to clear tables appropriately for the comfort of our guests
• Deliver exceptional customer service to our guests leaving them with an experience they will never forget and will show them they are invited back
• Other front of house duties as needed

Operational Execution:

• Follow all cash handling procedures and maintain accurate counts on the daily transactions
• Maintain personal health and sanitation standards
• Punctual and Organized both with serving and arriving to shifts
• Ensure 100% compliance with all Company policies and laws, including health and safety standards

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Must be 18+ years of age
• Prior experience in retail/merchandising or a restaurant is a plus
• Experience in inventory/management is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
• Mature judgment in handling all matters
• Good communication skills
• Standing and walking during entire 8-hour shift
• Understanding of restaurant POS system
• Be willing to submit to a background screen
