Position Summary:
Provides routine daily nursing care and services to assigned patients per their care plan
Qualifications:
- Current State CNA and RNA certificate
- CPR/BLS certifications
- Kind, positive, patient personality with the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- Maintains confidentiality and privacy for patients
Responsibilities:
- Assists nursing staff in providing restorative care to patients/residents
- Performs restorative and therapy activities with patients as trained and delegated
- Helps residents to sit, stand, walk, etc.
- Assists with activities of daily living (grooming, bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, etc.)
- Monitors and reports on any patient changes in conditions
- Ensures nursing care is provided in privacy and patient information is kept confidential
- Assists therapy department with resident mobility – transports patients to and from various locations throughout the facility
- Uses proper lifting and transitioning techniques when assisting residents from wheelchair to bed, bed to chair, etc.
