Job Summary



Join our team as the Sous Chef at a prestigious upscale establishment in the heart of midtown, where you'll be an invaluable support to our Executive Chef. In this role, you'll orchestrate the seamless operation of our Culinary Department, overseeing the preparation and cooking of an array of delectable dishes.


Key Responsibilities:



+ Focus on kitchen support, running the line, and handling administrative tasks such as ordering and inventory management.


+ Work closely with the Executive Chef to implement cost controls and efficiently monitor expenditures.


+ Expertly execute catering events to deliver unforgettable culinary experiences.



Preferred Qualifications:



+ Demonstrated progressive experience in culinary and kitchen management, commensurate with formal education or training.


+ Prior experience in catering is a valuable asset.


+ Proficiency in managing high-volume, intricate restaurant operations is highly desirable.


+ In-depth knowledge of food and catering trends, emphasizing quality, production, hygiene, cost control, and presentation.


+ Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and internet usage.


+ Willingness to actively participate in client satisfaction initiatives.


+ ServSafe certification is highly beneficial.
