Position Overview
The Restaurant Shift Leader role is focused on delivering sales and positive results through Guest & Operations coordination. This Hourly position supports the Restaurant General Manager and Assistant Manager in managing the operations during assigned shifts while driving key performance outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Directs team and ensures all food items are prepared and served according to brand, company, and health department regulations
- Coaches team members to follow guidelines for food preparation and production management
- Motivates and directs Team Members to exceed guest expectations with accurate, fast, and friendly service in clean surroundings
- Supervises crew members in the preparation of menu items to ensure compliance with all Burger King Corporate (BKC) Operations and Sanitation standards
- Ensures that staff maintain an exceptional level of customer service and that orders are taken in a prompt, accurate, and courteous manner
- Ensures an adequate level of staffing and service at all times
- Maintains a clean restaurant environment by performing cleaning tasks in the lobby, restrooms, kitchen, and exterior areas
- Manages cash control per policy and counts cash on hand at shift changes and at closing
- Monitors and ensures accuracy of all cash, sales, and inventory control records for the duration of the shift
- Completes end-of-shift and end-of-day paperwork and counts as needed
Qualifications
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age or older
- Minimum education requirement: High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of first-line supervisory experience, preferably in a restaurant or customer service environment
- Proven understanding of guest service principles
- SERV Safe certification or the ability to obtain as needed
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate and exchange information and ideas so others will understand
