Must show a proven ability to lead workers and workflow in a timed, same-day shipping environment. An "all orders must go out" mentality is essential. We take our catalog orders over the phone, on the web, and in person and quickly fulfill the orders SAME day.
This is a hands-on Supervisor job and not an office job! Like the restaurant industry, we sometimes work long 10+ hour days typically 9:00 am - 7:00 pm. A big benefit will be we typically work 10-6 or 11-7 Monday through Friday so you can get home earlier during the week and also have your weekends free to have some fun!
Responsibilities Include:
- Achieve production benchmarks in a timed environment with a hands on approach.
- Lead your team to ensure all orders received for the day are shipped.
- See that all associates are held accountable for their time allowed to pick, pack and ship orders.
- Define workflows, jobs and reporting relationships to obtain optimum effectiveness and ship all orders the same day.
- Manage and supervise people and processes and hold them accountable for established production requirements.
- Develop and execute plans for inbound receiving and outbound shipping to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of goods to and from our facilities.
- Proper identification of goods and timely release of materials to production.
- Establish and monitor operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory exactly correct.
- Identify and implement effective storage methods and identification for picking.
- Optimize and improve warehouse storage, product flow, and cleanliness.
- Maintaining high inventory accuracy, and managing material obsolescence in order to avoid material shortages.
- Administer and actively participate in bonus program that bonuses will not be paid if you or employee receives a written warning, are suspended, terminated, or resign prior to payout.
- Drive continuous improvement within material control to maintain and improve current processes and quality.
- Evaluate and recommend changes in methods or procedures in own area of responsibility.
