Lucy's is a modern American neighborhood eatery offering seasonal contemporary cooking, Lucy's menu is filled with locally sourced food that is made from the heart and served from the heart. What will I be doing?
- Greets guests with a smile upon arrival
- Sets a positive tone for the diners as the first impression of staff at the restaurant
- Identifies the appropriate seating and escorts guests to their table in a friendly and efficient manner
- Offers menus making sure they are clean and presentable
- Observes and reports any guests that need attention to waitstaff or management
- Answers the telephone, checks voicemails, and books or confirms reservations in RESY system
- Answers any general information questions about the dining experience such as dress code, special items on the menu, or special guest requests
- Moves tables together to accommodate large parties
- Keeps seating chart updated and accurate
- Assists server assistants and other team members with set up and clearing of tables when necessary
- Communicates with staff and management to remain informed and prepared
- Provides for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules
To Do This Kind of Work You Must Be Able To:
- Understand and follow detailed instructions
- Provide a professional appearance and manner including dress, conduct, speech, and attitude
- Talk to different kinds of people to give information, answer questions, and provide the utmost quality service
- Maintain a clean and neat work area
- Stand or walk for extended periods of time
- Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
Education
- High school graduate or equivalent GED preferred
- At least six months experience in restaurant or other hospitality industry preferred
