Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Director of Operations (General Manager) to oversee and manage all aspects of our operations in our flagship New York City location. As the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring operational excellence, and cultivating a positive work culture that aligns with our core values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring consistent quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Lead the management of both front-line service and kitchen operations to achieve company objectives and maintain industry-leading standards.
- Team Development & Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor a diverse team of managers and staff. Promote a positive, inclusive, and customer-focused work environment. Develop and implement training programs that promote skill development, retention, and advancement.
- Financial Management: Manage P&L, budgeting, and financial reporting. Optimize cost controls, including labor, food, and inventory management. Identify areas for improvement to drive profitability while maintaining high-quality service standards.
- Customer Experience: Ensure that customer satisfaction is consistently prioritized by delivering exceptional service. Actively engage with customers to resolve concerns and improve overall experience.
- Compliance & Safety: Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and labor regulations. Oversee adherence to company policies, procedures, and quality assurance programs. Ensure a safe and clean environment for both employees and customers.
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Collaborate with regional leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive growth, customer loyalty, and brand recognition. Analyze operational performance and implement improvements to maximize efficiency and profitability.
- Community Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with the local community, vendors, and business partners. Represent the brand in community events and initiatives to foster goodwill and strengthen brand presence.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, innovations, and best practices. Lead efforts to implement new processes, technologies, and initiatives that enhance operational performance and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of progressive management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment (e.g., restaurant, hospitality, retail). Proven track record of operational success and leadership.
- Leadership: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate teams. Experience in developing talent and fostering a positive, collaborative culture.
- Financial Acumen: Strong knowledge of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure and resolve challenges effectively.
- Customer Focus: Passion for delivering an outstanding customer experience with a deep understanding of service excellence.
- Operational Excellence: Expertise in optimizing operational processes, managing logistics, and maintaining high standards for quality and efficiency.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, or a related field preferred. Certifications or training in food safety and management are a plus.

- Experience in managing large, high-volume locations.
- Background in the food service or quick-service restaurant industry.
- Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
- Strong understanding of the New York City market and its unique customer base.
