A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A FULL- OR PART-TIME RESTAURANT COOK:
As a full- or part-time Restaurant Cook at ROTH Socialhouse, your day begins with prepping ingredients, stocking your station, and reviewing recipes and menu items created by our Head Chef. Once service starts, you take charge of your station, expertly preparing and cooking dishes to order and plating them to perfection. You work closely with our servers to ensure that orders are completed according to customers' requests and in a timely manner. At the end of your shift, you clean and organize your station, stock up for the next shift, and help clean the kitchen. You love having a cooking job that allows you to advance your culinary career!
WHAT IT TAKES TO BE SUCCESSFUL AS A RESTAURANT COOK
To be successful in this full- or part-time cooking role, you need at least 1 year of cooking experience in a high-volume kitchen. You must have the ability to learn, grow, and adapt to the needs of the restaurant, assist with stocking and setting up all kitchen stations, prepare food including cleaning and cutting ingredients for main dishes, desserts, and appetizers, and plate prepared foods based on Head Chef's guidance and restaurant's standards. Exceptional time management skills, strong organization and active listening skills, and excellent kitchen administration knowledge are essential. You should also be able to work on your feet for most of the day and lift 30 pounds at a time.
THE MINIMUM CULINARY REQUIREMENTS TO BE CONSIDERED:
- 1+ years of cooking experience in a high-volume kitchen
- Exceptional time management and organization skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and take direction
- Strong kitchen administration knowledge
- Exceptional active listening skills
- Ability to work on your feet for most of the day and lift up to 30 pounds at a time

We have both part-time and full-time cooking positions available, with flexible hours at our restaurant located in Turlock, CA, 95380.
