About the Job
The Residential Training Coordinator (RTC) is responsible for providing direct care to intellectually and/or developmentally disabled individuals by providing daily assistance in basic life skills such as bathing, cooking, feeding, toileting, medication administration, etc. Supervisory positions available.

- 1st shift (6:00 am to 2:30 pm).
- 2nd shift (2:00 pm to 10:30 pm).
- 3rd Shift (10:00 pm - 6:30 am).
*Five (5) of seven (7) days each week including weekends, on a rotating days-off schedule. Additional positions are available part-time or on-call.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assists in ensuring that the house is maintained in compliance with expected standards for the safety and welfare of the residents.
- Perform housekeeping tasks, as necessary and/or assigned.
- Feeds, bathes, provides grooming to residents - promotes self-care, encouraging residents to do as much for themselves as possible, promoting more independence during routines of daily living.
- Prepares and cooks meals for household residents (breakfast, lunch, & dinner).
- Administers medication and treatments per doctor’s orders; Plans and/or prepares meals per menu assigned, or assists an individual in planning/cooking as appropriate.
- Follows mealtime and physical management plans; Reports concerns to supervisor.
- Helps develop activities and situations within the Group Home which encourages interaction among residents. Physical intervention may be required if residents need assistance.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED certification.
- At least one year of verifiable experience as a home health aide, caregiver, nursing assistant, or other care professional; experience working with challenging behaviors, preferred.
- May be required to have a Florida driver’s license and a good driving record.
- Effective problem-solving, reasoning, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive data.
- Able to lift 50 lbs. in a safe and appropriate manner utilizing standard orientation techniques.
- Must pass a Background, Drug screening, Physical, and PPD.
