Senior Purchasing Manager Opportunity – Residential Construction

We are partnered with a leading Residential Home Builder seeking an experienced Senior Purchasing Manager to join their team! This role is critical to ensuring cost-effective procurement strategies, maintaining supplier relationships, and supporting project timelines and budgets for residential construction projects.

Senior Purchasing Manager Job Summary:
The Senior Purchasing Manager will oversee and optimize procurement activities for residential construction materials, supplies, and services. This role requires strategic leadership, a deep understanding of the industry, and the ability to manage a team to achieve company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute advanced purchasing strategies for residential construction projects.
• Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, terms, and quality.
• Evaluate and manage supplier relationships, ensuring reliability and cost-effectiveness.
• Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Oversee procurement processes, including budgeting, inventory management, and compliance with regulations.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the purchasing team to drive performance and innovation.
• Collaborate with internal departments to align procurement strategies with project goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management within the residential construction industry.
• Proven leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing teams and complex procurement processes.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry trends.
