Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients in residential real estate transactions, including purchase and/or sales, leasing and refinances
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts, leases, deeds and other legal documents related to residential real estate transactions
- Conduct due diligence, title examinations and property inspections
- Handle closings and ensure compliance with all legal requirements and regulations
- Stay updated on changes in real estate laws and regulations and advise clients accordingly
Qualifications:
- Strong academic credentials with a J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school
- Admitted to Connecticut and/or New York or Florida bars
- Active license to practice law in the state of Florida
- Minimum of six (6) years’ experience practicing real estate law, focusing on residential transactions
- A proven track record of successfully handling complex residential real estate matters
- Strong understanding of real estate laws, standards of title and industry practices
- Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
