RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT
90 year old privately held owner/management company based in Great Neck (our buildings are in Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx and Manhattan) is looking for energetic and detail-oriented individuals with strong communication skills. We are looking to fill multiple positions in various locations throughout the 5-boros. These individuals must have a minimum of 5+ years of property management experience with LARGE multi-family properties, and knowledge of the following: contracting, leasing, DHCR, and violations for the New York metro area, and rent collection. Candidate duties will included by not be limited to ensuring compliance with HPD/DOB/DHCR/etc regulatory and reporting requirements, efficiently address resident concerns, collaborate with corporate project management team on capital projects and major repairs, supervise and lead property operations teams such site supers and maintenance staff, implement structure and procedures to maximize effectiveness of property operations The applicant must have good tenant relations, and must also be highly organized, self-motivated, excellent at multitasking, confident, a team player in order to get the job done, can handle a fast paced/intense work environment and workload. You will have to work closely with various departments within our organization, as well as outside vendors. On occasion, you will be required to attend housing or small claims court with our attorneys. This job requires 90% of your time to be out in the field managing your assigned properties. You will be required to spend time in our main office in Great Neck to attend mandatory meetings and to handle your paperwork. A vehicle is required for this position.
In addition to what is listed above, responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Construction/Maintenance: Review of renovation contracts; Maintain list of all ongoing renovation projects (track progress, budget, and any changes to original scope of work); Perform site visits to review ongoing work and general condition of properties; Interface with various company vendors Leasing: Assist with the leasing processes for new tenant applications, Coordinate with building Superintendents to schedule walk-throughs of apartments which will be coming vacant; Update and distribute weekly reports including status of lease renewals and vacant apartments Tenant Relations: Address resident concerns and maintenance requests in a timely manner to ensure satisfaction with management; collect rent from tenants; work with maintenance team to schedule appointments; Prepare and distribute tenant communications and notices Candidate must also have:
