Position Summary ______
As a Project Engineer, you will be critical in supporting the design and execution of high-end custom residential projects. To ensure project success, you will work closely with owners, subcontractors, designers, and internal teams. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is passionate about high-quality residential construction.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Superintendents to support seamless project execution.
- Assist in preparing and facilitating meetings with owners, designers, and subcontractors.
- Perform site visits for investigations and ensure compliance with project specifications.
Estimating and Procurement
- Conducted detailed quantity take-offs and assisted in preparing cost estimates for luxury residential projects.
- Manage material procurement, including ordering and tracking delivery schedules.
Documentation and Contracts
- Prepare and manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and RFI submissions.
- Maintain meticulous records of project details, timelines, and budgets.
Problem-Solving and Innovation
- Develop creative solutions to design and construction challenges.
- Monitor project progress and propose adjustments to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
Training and Development
- Provide mentorship and training to junior staff as part of a collaborative and growth-focused team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Experience
- 2+ years of relevant experience in residential or high-end construction.
Technical Proficiency
- Advanced knowledge of construction software such as Excel, Procore, and Bluebeam.
Communication Skills
- Strong verbal, written, and graphic communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and subcontractors.
Problem-solving
- Excellent critical thinking skills to handle multiple priorities and challenges.
Organizational Skills
- Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to manage complex schedules and documentation.
