Job Overview:
APTIM's Energy Transition team is seeking an experienced Residential Portfolio Manager with programmatic and project management experience. This position is based in New Orleans and serves as critical leadership providing guidance and oversight to residential energy efficiency and demand response programs. APTIM's role as the Third-Party Administrator is to develop and manage energy-saving programs vital to residential and business Entergy New Orleans customers. The Residential Portfolio Manager will be responsible for providing management-level administration services including program performance and budget oversight. Residential industry knowledge and technical expertise in energy efficiency and demand response is required. This role will report to the Program Director.
Energy Smart is an incentive program available to all Entergy New Orleans electric customers. The program provides cash incentives to customers for making improvements to residential and commercial buildings that will reduce electricity usage. Our role as the Program Administrator is to develop energy-savings programs that are vital in the marketplace for residential and business customers. You will also be working with others who are passionate about energy efficiency and making a positive impact on the industry.

Our energy experts deliver highly innovative projects and complex client solutions providing the full breadth of solutions including energy efficiency, energy management, carbon management, smart infrastructure, and distributed energy resources (DER). Our consultants proactively collaborate with clients to define and implement strategies and programs around key business drivers, with the primary focus of finding and delivering high impact outcomes that exceed expectations and meet the unique needs of our government, utility, and commercial clients.
The successful candidate will immediately assume an active role overseeing operations of the residential portfolio of energy efficiency and demand response programs. As the Residential Portfolio Manager , you must be a critical thinker able to manage multiple tasks, be well-versed in program delivery and design strategies and contracting, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, communicate technical details to non-technical audiences and stakeholders and be able to maintain positive relationships with colleagues, implementation contractors, and community organizations. The role requires a person who is accountable, process driven, detail-oriented, and pragmatic. Individuals in this role will be expected to communicate across functional teams to exchange ideas, embrace a collaborative approach, take ownership of their workspace, and find solutions to challenges as they arise.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
+ Managing and coordinating the collaborative efforts of all personnel and other resources (internal and external) necessary to successfully accomplish the strategic planning and implementation of Programs.
+ Working with Implementation Subcontractors to provide technical and administrative oversight and support.
+ Developing relationships with industry partners to identify and address their needs from the Program which may include public and small group presentations and information gathering sessions.
+ Educating program participants about energy efficiency opportunities, including options, costs, and benefits.
+ Writing technical and non-technical summaries, blogs, newsletters, and other educational content for a wide variety of audiences.
+ Discussing elements and aspects of energy consuming equipment in homes and buildings (lighting, HVAC, water heating, building envelope).
+ Conducting QA/QC of program processes and protocols, offering improvements and recommendations based on findings.
+ Creating and managing Implementation Subcontractor and vendor contracts.
+ Reporting and tracking program performance and other metrics as required by the utility.
+ Assisting in the resolution of program operation and management issues.
+ Supporting program design by staying current on the latest energy-saving technologies and outreach strategies by attending webinars and conferences, reading various sources of information, and networking with industry stakeholders.
+ Building relationships with community-based organizations and other program stakeholders.
+ Keeping current on the latest energy-saving technology and outreach strategies to provide program design suggestions and support the continued evolution of the residential portfolio.
+ All other duties as assigned.
+ Ensure compliance with all APTIM quality and safety policies as well as all OSHA regulations.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, equivalent work or industry experience.
+ 4-6+ years' program/project management experience related to energy program management, implementation or administrative oversight.
+ Knowledge of energy efficiency and demand response technologies and energy-saving solutions including lighting, HVAC, water heating, and building envelope for residential customers.
+ Experience in the design, development, and implementation of energy efficiency and demand response programs.
+ Knowledge of traditional RFP process and procedures.
+ Knowledge of grant application procedures and program funding mechanisms in state and federal government.
+ Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
+ Ability to collect and analyze data and interpret information to proceed with appropriate actions.
+ Ability to assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures.
+ Ability to travel to client sites.
+ Knowledge assessing performance of organizations and individuals to make appropriate improvements or take corrective action.
+ Skills in negotiation, conflict resolution and consensus building with diverse stakeholders.
+ Self-starter with the ability to manage time and prioritize projects within established deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
+ Commitment to fostering a collaborative work environment within the team and the broader organization.
Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
+ 3+ years' experience in the energy efficiency industry preferred.
+ Understanding of energy efficiency technologies and energy-saving solutions.
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics.
