Job Description: Residential Plumbing Advisor
As a Plumbing Advisor with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and managing high-value residential plumbing projects. Your expertise will support the execution of complex installations such as repipes, water treatment systems, and other specialized plumbing services. In addition to delivering excellent customer service, you will be responsible for mentoring and training our service plumbing team, ensuring every project meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. With a blend of technical expertise and strong sales acumen, you’ll help shape the future of plumbing services and make a direct impact on company success.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Management and Sales
- Drive Sales: Manage high-value leads generated by our service technicians, focusing on large-scale plumbing projects. Utilize Ben Franklin’s proven sales strategies to effectively close deals.
- Achieve Sales Success: Meet or exceed sales targets, setting benchmarks for closing percentages and customer satisfaction.
- Develop Tailored Sales Strategies: Design and refine sales strategies specific to project types and customer needs to optimize close rates.
Training and Mentorship
- Mentor Service Technicians: Provide coaching and on-the-job training to service plumbers, ensuring they meet company standards.
- Hands-On Guidance: Participate in ride-alongs to assess skills and provide real-time feedback.
- Support Project Success: Occasionally assist with hands-on labor when necessary to support technicians in delivering successful projects.
Project Oversight and Management
- Manage Projects: Oversee plumbing projects from initial assessment to completion, ensuring quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate Resources: Ensure timely procurement of materials and equipment, managing resources effectively for each job.
- Monitor Progress: Conduct site visits to ensure projects meet the company’s high standards and address issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work with the Install Coordinator to ensure seamless project delivery and positive customer outcomes.
Client Engagement and Follow-Up
- Follow-Up for Satisfaction: After each project, follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
- Build Lasting Relationships: Foster strong relationships with clients to maintain their trust and loyalty.
Performance Metrics and KPIs
- Exceed KPIs: Consistently meet or surpass performance goals, including closing rates, average ticket size, and membership conversions.
- Maintain Excellence: Ensure the company maintains a 5-star reputation through superior customer service and quality project delivery.
Additional Duties
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Job Qualifications
- Experience: 5-6 years in residential plumbing service and repair, with a strong understanding of plumbing systems and installation procedures.
- Leadership Skills: Proven experience mentoring or leading teams, especially in sales and project management.
- Technical Expertise: Familiarity with NOC/Permitting processes and proficiency with tools like sewer cameras and leak detection devices.
- Sales Ability: Strong background in sales, with a focus on high-value plumbing projects.
- CRM Software: Experience using Service Titan or similar CRM tools is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-first attitude.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of plumbing codes, regulations, and permitting processes.
- Judgment: Ability to apply independent judgment to solve problems and deliver effective results.
Physical Demands
- Ability to drive and travel to job sites.
- Manual dexterity and the ability to use hand tools and electronic equipment.
- Ability to work in tight spaces, stand, climb, crawl, and lift up to 90 pounds.
- Capability to work in various weather conditions and challenging environments.
