Wheeler Staffing Partners is on the hunt for a dedicated Loan Acquisition Analyst to join our rapidly growing team. This role is perfect for someone with 1-2 years of frontline underwriting experience, a solid grasp of the residential mortgage process, and a keen eye for detail. If you're skilled in managing residential loan acquisitions, including Non-QM, DSCR, and Business Purpose loans, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, we want you on our team!
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison between team and our lending partners, ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient communication.
- Manage and oversee third-party due diligence for various purchase types including flow, bulk, and mini bulk transactions.
- Work closely with Credit and Asset Management teams to provide support on scenario and exception queries and facilitate seamless post-purchase service.
- Play a pivotal role in the diligence process for securitizations and coordinate all operational facets of the loan acquisition process.
- Ensure meticulous execution of the pre-close review process, collaborating effectively with sellers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in underwriting various residential mortgage products, particularly Non-QM, Bridge, and SFR loans. A strong background in business purpose residential loans is highly desirable.
- A solid understanding of appraisal valuations and robust review practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, capable of articulating progress and outcomes to Senior Management with clarity and precision.
- Quick learning ability and adeptness at working under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and comfort handling large datasets. Experience with macros is a plus.
- A bachelors degree from an accredited university.
