Thomas Buckborough & Associates is seeking a skilled Residential Lead Carpenter to manage our construction jobs on-site. The ideal candidate will ensure customer satisfaction, supervise job sites, perform carpentry labor, manage subcontractors, handle material takeoffs and orders, maintain job site records, and manage project budgets.

- Act as the on-site manager, representing the company to customers and the community.
- Perform various carpentry tasks including framing, finishing, and cabinetry installation.
- Supervise and assign work to other carpenters and helpers.
- Understand and manage all job paperwork: budgets, plans, specifications, and change orders.
- Manage project budgets and discuss with management as needed.
- Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring adherence to company policies.
- Prepare and inspect material takeoffs and orders for accuracy and quality.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site, ensuring daily cleanup and debris management.
- Protect and respect customer property and adhere to all site security measures.
- Ensure job safety for both customers and workers.
- Document and get office approval for any extra work or changes requested by customers.
- Monitor the project schedule and communicate delays or changes to the Production Manager.
- Check in with the Production Manager daily to report on progress and discuss needs.
- Follow through on all tasks, resolving any issues and completing all loose ends.
- Proven experience as a lead carpenter or similar role.
- Strong carpentry skills with the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Experience in remodeling framing, finish, trims, siding, cabinet installation, baseboard, crowning, installation of doors and windows

- Our primary service area is within the towns of Sudbury, Lexington, Lincoln, Concord, Carlisle, Lexington, Weston, Acton, and Harvard, and all over the Boston MetroWest.
