Residential Lawn Maintenance Specialist Summary:
A Residential Lawn Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial part in ensuring the upkeep and aesthetic appeal of residential homes owned by rental companies across the United States. Primary responsibilities include maintaining the yards of clients, mowing lawns, planting grass, applying pesticides, and ensuring that green spaces look beautiful. This position is located in Minnesota. Must possess own reliable truck for this position.
Residential Lawn Maintenance Specialist Essential Duties:
- Perform regular lawn mowing, trimming, edging, and overall landscape maintenance for assigned residential properties.
- Adhere to specific schedules and routes provided by our operations team to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
- Maintain a high standard of quality and attention to detail in all lawn maintenance tasks.
- Operate and maintain lawn care equipment, ensuring their proper functioning and promptly addressing any maintenance or repair needs.
- Communicate effectively with the operations team to report completed tasks, potential issues, and any necessary updates.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with homeowners, tenants, and colleagues.
- Uphold safety guidelines and best practices while operating equipment and performing lawn maintenance duties.
- Performs other duties as determined and required based on project need.
Education:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
At least one (1) year of prior experience in lawn maintenance or landscaping preferred.
License/Certification:
Must have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
Skills:
Must have the following skills and/or abilities:
- Proven experience in lawn maintenance or landscaping.
- Solid understanding of lawn care equipment operation, including mowers, trimmers, edgers, and blowers.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform lawn maintenance tasks in various weather conditions.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to adhere to schedules and routes.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and report on tasks.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly, while also being a team player.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
Residential Lawn Maintenance Specialist Physical Requirements:
Must be able to perform the following physical activity on a frequent to constant basis:
- Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, and controls.
- Frequently lift or move up to twenty (20) pounds with or without assistance.
- Ability to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information through verbal communications in person or over the telephone.
- Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents, operate a computer or other office machinery, and detect objects in and around a job site.
- Regularly stand and walk distances on slippery, even, and/or uneven surfaces.
- Stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, turn, or crawl.
- Climb and balance on stairs, metal/wooden beams, concrete form work, ladders, or other structures/elevated areas when visiting project sites.
The work environment is usually outdoors, and may require working in all types of weather conditions, including exposure to extreme heat and cold. The work includes use of lawn mowers, trimmers, edgers, and weed eaters.

Must be able to:
- Possess a reliable truck capable of transporting lawn care equipment and tools to various properties.
- Meet insurance company requirements for driving on company business.
- Adhere to the highest standards of ethics, integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
- Read, understand and communicate HiredHelpr Employee Handbook, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures.
- Project a courteous, professional and positive approach with clients, subcontractors, employees, and authorizing agencies while providing prompt, efficient, and accurate assistance.
- Make independent decisions based on experience or knowledge with minimal supervision.
- Participate in training and development opportunities offered to maintain construction-related software and safety knowledge.
- Adhere to and perform functions according to company safety, quality, and cost control programs and OSHA safety guidelines.
- Maintain regular, timely, and predictable attendance.
- Able to pass a non-DOT drug screen, Motor Vehicle Records check, and background check.
- Able to travel as needed.
