General Job Description

We are looking for Apprentice Electrician to grow with our Company. Your job will involve assisting an electrician in installing a variety of electrical devices on a construction project. Apprentice Electricians are expected to assist the Electricians while learning the trade.

• Measure, cut, and pull wire to each device location
• Test electrical equipment or systems to ensure proper functioning
• Strip insulation from wire ends, using wire stripping pliers, and attach wires to terminals
• Drill holes and pull or push wiring through openings, using hand and power tools
• Perform semi-skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment.
• Dig trenches or holes for installation of conduit or supports
• Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order
• Organize tools and supplies to be used at the work site according to the instructions of the electrician

Job Knowledge

• Experience in Residential or Commercial electrical new-build projects is a plus
• Past experience operating hand tools/equipment, cable cutters, hammer drills, and compression tools
• Have some knowledge of basic circuitry

Job Requirements

• Valid Drivers License
• Work from all types of step ladders, frame ladders, and all-size extension ladder
• Willingness to learn and follow detailed instructions
• Must have basic hand tools or the electrical trade
• Work in all elements of weather depending on job location, time of year (heat, cold, rain, and direct sunlight)
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
