Role Overview:
The Senior Project Manager leads our Project Team with full authority over client relationships, budget management, and project execution. This role requires strategic planning, proactive problem-solving, and leadership to guide and develop junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scheduling & Client Relations: Manage project timelines, ensuring adherence to deadlines and coordinating approvals with clients and architects to minimize disruptions.
- Subcontractor Management: Lead negotiations, approve proposals, and ensure the highest standards in subcontractor performance.
- Financial Management: Oversee project budgets, track expenses, manage cash flow, and resolve budget concerns with clients.
- Quality & Safety: Conduct site visits to maintain quality standards, safety, and positive relations with building management and neighbors.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Project Administration: Manage project setup, lead site meetings, oversee documentation, and delegate tasks to team members for efficient workflow.
- Close-Out Process: Ensure successful project completion, resolve open items, and transition projects to Service & Maintenance.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and evaluate junior staff to support their career development and growth within the team.
- Experience: 7-10 years of project management experience, ideally in the New York City region with a strong preference for expertise in high end residential interiors.
- Qualifications: A 4-year degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Skills: Strong organizational, communication, analytical problem-solving skills, and leadership skills. Proficiency in Sage/Timberline, MS Project, and MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of general contracting processes, building codes, and regulations.
- Compensation: $150,000–$200,000 annually, based on experience.
