Summary of Responsibilities
As a Project Manager with Northeast Design & Build, you will oversee all aspects of residential remodeling projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You'll manage schedules, coordinate field employees and trade partners, and maintain clear and polite communication with clients throughout the process. Your role involves supervising on-site activities, resolving any challenges, and providing updates to the executive team on project progress. This position offers the opportunity to lead transformative renovations while fostering teamwork and creating an enjoyable client experience.
Essential Functions
Client Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear, polite, and professional communication throughout the project.
- Conduct weekly on-site meetings with clients to provide updates and address any concerns, documenting progress in Builder Trend.
- Deliver daily progress updates, including photos and reports, to clients via project management software.
Team and Site Management
- Supervise and coordinate the work of field carpenters, subcontractors, and trade partners to ensure high-quality results.
- Visit job sites daily to monitor progress, solve on-site problems, and ensure adherence to the schedule and budget.
- Manage site inspections, addressing any issues with inspectors to maintain compliance and project timelines.
Project Scheduling and Coordination
- Develop and maintain project schedules, adjusting timelines as necessary to address production realities or unforeseen challenges.
- Coordinate material lead times, purchase orders, and subcontractor schedules to keep projects on track.
- Ensure all tools, equipment, and safety measures are prepared and available for site work.
Administrative and Software Responsibilities
- Utilize Builder Trend and Outlook to manage schedules, budgets, and client communications effectively.
- Track project profitability and performance, reporting progress to the executive team.
- Approve and manage invoices, progress payments, and final payments from clients.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required
- 7-10 years of experience in residential construction with hands-on expertise as a carpenter.
- 3+ years of project management experience in residential remodeling or construction.
- Proficiency in project management and communication tools, particularly Builder Trend, Outlook and MS Office.
- Achieve & maintain OSHA Certification in one or more areas as a plus.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth in the construction and remodeling industry.

- $35-$38 per hour
