Summary of Responsibilities
We are seeking a passionate and driven Residential Carpenter 2 to join our team! If you're eager to elevate your skills, embrace new techniques, and bring integrity and professionalism to your work, we want to hear from you. We’re looking for someone who loves their craft, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is committed to exceeding client expectations with every project. As a Level 2 Carpenter, you’ll take charge of managing and executing remodeling and construction projects, using your carpentry expertise to make a lasting impact. The ideal candidate is an experienced carpenter who is ready to lead and organize projects within a well-established company that values quality and teamwork.
A few must-haves:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on carpentry experience
- High School diploma
- Experience in framing, finish carpentry, kitchen cabinetry installation, bathroom tile setting and finishes
- Previous experience in residential remodeling
- Strong knowledge of job site safety protocols
- Physical capability to perform construction tasks
- Knowledge of basic building code requirements
- Strong communication, organizational, and mathematical skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Have all required tools
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, and a clean driving record
- Reliable vehicle with the ability to transport tools
What you will do:
- Represent yourself and Custom Craft with professionalism and integrity at all times
- Review job documents (plans, specs, schedules) and ask questions if something is unclear
- Perform carpentry tasks and other duties as required
- Plan tasks before starting and follow installation instructions and company standards
- Work efficiently and lead support carpenters to complete tasks
- Notify the supervisor of any issues or delays that could affect the schedule
- Help order materials and check deliveries for accuracy and damage
- Assist with inspections and resolve any issues
- Complete job paperwork (timecards, receipts) and submit on time
- Follow safety standards, maintain a clean worksite, and protect customer property
- Secure the jobsite at the end of each day
- Have all the required personal tools and ensure they’re in good condition
- Monitor and maintain company tools, reporting any damage
- Follow company policies, stay updated on construction knowledge, and train support carpenters
