Resident Services & Programs Coordinator - Waverly Heights

About the Job
The Resident Services and Programs Coordinator is responsible for planning and developing programs designed to enhance the quality of life for residents at Waverly Heights. This role plays a key part in fostering a sense of community through engaging events, effective communication, and coordination with resident committees. This position will also provide logistical support for events, and contribute to creating an inclusive and positive environment for all members of the community.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and promote resident programs.
- Coordinate programs and events to ensure proper setup, including audio-visual, lighting, and sound systems, as well as meeting the needs of presenters.
- Design and produce promotional materials, including flyers, posters, and digital slides for community events.
- Prepare and distribute communication materials, including the monthly programs calendar, fliers, posters, and weekly newsletter.
- Maintain the In-House TV Slide Show and electronic message boards.
- Collaborate with the Communications Coordinator to ensure timely updates and accurate information is posted on the WaverlyApp.
- Keep the resident bulletin boards organized and up to date.
- Maintain files and storage areas for resident programs materials and supplies.
- Schedule the use of community spaces, such as the Auditorium, Theater, Lounge and Club Room.
- Ensure pianos are well-maintained and schedule regular tunings.
- Participate in meetings, committees, and special projects to support the overall success of the community.
- Establish and maintain positive, respectful communication with residents, their families, and guests.
- Address resident inquiries and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare and submit program reports as requested.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in program coordination, event planning, or a similar role in a residential or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to create engaging and informative materials.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Canva.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work occasional evenings as needed to assist with special events
