About the Job
Compass for Affordable Housing (FAH) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Compass FAH serves families, singles, and seniors residing in affordable housing communities. Our services include an after-school program for resident youth and adult support services, such as health and wellness classes, financial education, and job readiness assistance.
We are currently hiring a Part-Time Resident Service Coordinator to work 30 hours per week (with the potential to go full-time in the future) at ShoreLine located at 4470 Alvarado Canyon Road, San Diego, CA. The position offers a flexible schedule Monday-Friday with some events occasionally being hosted on a Saturday. Compass FAH will work closely with you to provide needed materials, etc.
Job Summary:
This position requires an energetic, self-starter who will take initiative when necessary to help others. You will be tasked with managing adult services which will entail interacting with property management, residents, and volunteers in the role of coordinator. The position will also assist with adult education, as well as performing community outreach to provide onsite services for residents.
A successful candidate will:
- Be a high school graduate or possess GED equivalency
- Have at least one year of work or volunteer experience working with adults
- Have experience working in supportive housing
- Have the ability to work independently and as a team player
- Be a creative self-starter and enjoy helping others
- Be willing to take and pass a background check
- Have strong communication skills
- Have the ability to promote resident services through outreach
- Bilingual skills are preferred but not mandatory
This position offers flexibility and the freedom to create and serve those in need. The pay ranges from $20.00 to $25.00 an hour depending on experience and will start as soon as possible.
