Our Construction Management team is currently seeking a transportation construction engineer with CTDOT project experience. The Resident Engineer will manage the daily observation of the contractor operations for various transit-oriented infrastructure projects.
- Inspects daily construction activity.
- Completes daily inspection reports in the applicable format.
- Assists with creating meeting agendas and minutes; distribute and file.
- Assure documentation, and accuracy of monthly progress payments.
- Assists with creating draft Contract Change Orders.
- Performs oversight of materials testing.
- Knowledge of CTDOT material methods.
- Assures general compliance with CTDOT and other agency standards and specifications.
- Assists with resident engineering duties.
- Assists with office engineering duties.
- Communicates with residents and business owners.
- Assures compliance with CTDOL and Federal Regulations on utilization.
- Other duties as needed.
- Must have a valid NICET Level IV certification.
- At least 12+ years of experience with construction inspection and daily report writing preferred.
- Experience with CTDOT required.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required.
- Must be familiar with knowledge of CTDOT procedures and protocols.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Following certifications are preferred:
- ACI Certification
- Traffic Control Coordinator (TCC)
- Osha 10 Hours
- Applicable CT Department of Transportation Certifications

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $131,900 - $197,900 annually for this position and local market.
