Hudson Park Rehabilitation and Nursing has openings for some great, energetic and passionate Resident Assistants to join our team. Hudson Park is a 200-bed skilled nursing facility on Northern Blvd in Albany.
Those that prove to be a stellar Resident Assistant and pass a background check, which may include getting your fingerprints done, will be asked to be a part of our CNA class where we will train you and you will test for your certification at no cost to you. At the time of successful completion of the CNA class you will then work within Hudson Park in the capacity of a CNA.
*You will be expected to work as a CNA for the facility for 1 year upon competition of your CNA certification

Position Description:
A Resident Assistant promotes choice, dignity, and expedient service by assisting in the performance of duties and other tasks that enhance the quality of life for residents.
Responsibilities of the Resident Assistants (RAs):
- Make rounds on the unit looking for items that need attention
- Straightening utility rooms, linen rooms and pantry’s as needed
- Assist with meal service
- Successfully complete Paid Feeding Assistant Program and works under the supervision of a RN or LPN to feed or assist residents who not have complication feeding restrictions
- Deliver mail to residents; opening and reading mail to residents as requested
- Making resident beds and keeping rooms tidy
- Pass clean linen
- Assure ice water is available on units
- Prepares rooms for new admissions
- Takes inventory of resident’s personal possessions and sends items to personal laundry to be labeled
Responsibilities of the Resident Assistants (RAs):
- 1 year of customer service or healthcare skills preferred
- Compassion: Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to improve the lives of patients.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
- Physical Stamina: Physical fitness and endurance to perform tasks that involve standing, lifting, and assisting patients.
