Lynntech is seeking a candidate to fill a part-time laboratory practitioner position. The candidate will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team in the Experimental Therapeutics, Diagnostics and Life Science Concepts group.
Lynntech develops world-class technology solutions and is actively engaged in various stages of technology development from preliminary concept generation and feasibility demonstration all the way through advanced engineering and manufacturing of products to meet different customer needs by integrating creative talent, business expertise, and purpose-built facilities.
The successful candidate will have a generalized educational background in Life Sciences and must have successfully completed the following college courses:
- Biology I
- Microbiology I
- Introduction to Biotechnology
In addition, some experience with standard microbiological lab practices and skills are highly desirable including:
- Aseptic handling and procedure
- Streaking and inoculation techniques
- Pipetting and liquid-transfer handling
- Solution and buffer preparation
- Ability to follow SOP
- Data collection and report building
The laboratory practitioner will be responsible for compiling experimental results, maintaining laboratory notebooks and providing short written reports of experimental outcomes. Additional duties will include maintaining an active running inventory of laboratory supplies and resupplying as necessary.
