Job Responsibilities:
Our Client is looking for an extremely motivated Research Technician to contribute to their research activities in Additive Manufacturing, Internet of Things, Clean tech, and Healthcare. As a Research Technician, you will be able to support world class research activities and help invent the technologies of the future alongside industry leading researchers. You'll have the opportunity to work across a wide range of industries and with broad spectrum of disciplines to solve complex, challenging scientific problems.

Responsibilities

• Disassembly and cleaning of laboratory equipment
• Preparing samples for characterization through various means including dimensional metrology and microscopy
• Operating various analytical instruments to characterize samples
• Performing SOPs (standard operating procedures) to support scientific experimentation
• Reporting data to scientists and engineers
• Careful documentation of work

Qualifications

• Associates Degree and 4 years of industry or research experience or 10 years of industrial engineering or scientific research experience
• Familiarity with common chemistry and laboratory equipment
• Understanding of laboratory safety practices
• Ability to follow SOPs, maintain process documentation, and operate equipment safely
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• A candidate to this role must be able to lift up to 25lbs

An exceptional candidate will have familiarity with carbonaceous or ceramic powder processing, sieving, operating furnaces and ovens, and mixing equipment including ultrasonic mixers, high shear mixer, planetary mixer, homogenizer.
