The research technician for this job will be responsible for assiting with tissue culture (human and mouse derived cancer cells), molecular biology (PCR, DNA/RNA preps, etc.), cell biology (westerns, cell staining, etc.), and lab duties. They will assist with animal experiments, surgical proceduces and necropsy as per protocol. The Pl will supervise. The will also be responsible for assisting with treatments and welfare evaluations.
The person will:
• perform a few, relatively simple, technical procedures
• require intermittent guidance
• be responsible for ordering supplies and equipment for the laboratory, as needed, for their experiments with Pl approval.
Required to have at least an Associate's degree or equivalent skills and experience. BS/BA preferred.
