We are hiring a Research Scientist, R&D. The Research Scientist Conducts research under the direction of a supervisor leading to the development of new or improved products.

Responsibilities

• Perform cell culture experiments for development of cell biology research, product development, technical product support, and/or process improvements.
• Formulate and prepare reagents and cell culture media.
• Perform various chemical/biological assays.
• Perform basic data analysis and generate summary data reports.
• Assist in experimental design.
• Assist in preparation of formal reports and presentations.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment and experimental problems
• Other duties may be assigned.

Required Skills/Education

• Ph.D. or M.S. in Biology or related fields required. Qualified M.S. candidates should have at least 5 years of industry experience in a Cell Therapy setting.
• Prior experience in aseptic cell culture of mammalian cells is required.
• Demonstrated ability in writing scientific content is required.
• Prior experience in the use of a flow cytometer is preferred.
• Prior experience in cell-based assays is preferred.
• Prior experience in Cell Therapy/Immunology is preferred
• Good general knowledge of Cell Culture, Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Microbiology.
• Good working knowledge of basic laboratory equipment (scales, pH meters, etc.)
• Knowledge of commonly used experimental/research concepts, practices, and procedures.
• General knowledge of computer systems and productivity software.
• Good general knowledge of Cell Culture, Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Microbiology.

Salary and Benefits:

• For California, the base salary range for this position is $79,554-104,236 annually. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
