Position Summary | The UNM College of Pharmacy is looking for a highly motivated Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) Analyst to participate in our bioanalytical core laboratory. The Core provides a top-notch research infrastructure that enables scientific excellence, novel methodology development and outstanding innovations for researchers on campus and the scientific community. This is an exciting opportunity for an analytical and scientific oriented LC-MS specialist to join our growing team. The LC-MS Analyst will work closely with the Science Research Manager and the Core Director to execute MS analysis. This position will be responsible for operation and routine maintenance of state-of-the-art LC-MS instruments. The primary job functions will be analyzing biological and environmental samples for proteins, metabolites, and/or small organic molecules. The individual will have opportunities to take initiatives and develop novel approaches to analytical problem solving. Recent graduates who are capable and self-driven with substantial research involving hands-on LC-MS experience are encouraged to apply. Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor's degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
