Research Fellow Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist attending MD staff with provision of appropriate cardiac imaging services, specifically Cardiac CT and Cardiac MRI and echocardiography if applicable for patients in the division including, structural heart centers at the Hospital and/or at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, and for Cardiac CT imaging for St Francis Hospital Chest Pain Centers and any off site facilities of Catholic Health as determined by your credentialing and at the discretion of the Director
- Provide professional services to patients and ensure for continuity of care, which includes engaging the covering attending in the discussion of cases including your findings and recommendations
- Assist covering attending MD with assigned tasks related to cardiac imaging reports as per Department guidelines
- Participate in continuing medical education programs as appropriate
- Contribute when appropriate to education objectives for all staff including physicians, fellows, APPs, nurses and sonographers as requested
- Assist MD investigators and research department in protocol writing, development and implementation
- Supervise data collection, analysis, prepare and submit publications as directed by MD investigator
- Supervise research associate for research projects including protocol implementation, recruitment, enrollment, data collection, query resolution
- Prepare presentation data and slides for local and national meetings at the direction of the MD investigators
- Investigate opportunities for publication
- Investigator opportunities for research funding
Research Fellow – Advanced Imaging Cardiac CT, Cardiac MRI, Echocardiology and Research Requirements:
- MD, PhD or Master in Science
The pay for this position is $80,203 per year.
This rate serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
