About the Job
Full-time (40 hours, 5 days) Research Engineers - Perception
are
needed in
Brookshire, TX office
to
Develop and refine algorithms in self-driving vehicles perception modules, including improvements to object detection and segmentation, and other scene perception tasks for camera and lidar.
Design, propose, and prototype different solutions and validate them using academic and in-house datasets.
Design and build benchmarks to select the best solution, and perform parameter grid search or educated random search to find best parameters.
Train models, tune hyperparameters, and propose solutions to mitigate performance regression on newly designed models.
Implement new computer vision algorithms for onboard computer on self-driving vehicles, and optimize its runtime and latency.
Develop model training infrastructure that elastically utilizes computing resources and scales to multiple nodes efficiently.
The position requires a
Masters degree in Computer Science, Computational Data Science, or a closely related field.
A minimum of 2 years' experience in computer vision within the autonomous driving industry including:
developing perception models using deep learning and computer vision;
implementing, optimizing, and validating on-vehicle perception module using NVIDIAs CUDA and TensorRT;
designing and optimizing training infrastructure for deep learning model training within Kubernetes ecosystem

Annual salary is $200,000.
