Job Responsibilities:
Perform routine biochemistry techniques such as protein expression, purification, and characterization by SDS-PAGE
Perform small-scale bacterial, fungal, and mammalian cell culture using aseptic techniques
Operate incubator/shakers, centrifuges, and other laboratory equipment used in protein production
Use electrophoresis and chromatography systems for biomolecule analysis or purification
Prepare chemical solutions required for production processes
Analyze Sanger sequence data for validation of expression constructs
Education Requirements:
B.S. or M.S. in life science or related subject
Experience Desired:
1+ year industry laboratory experience relating to protein purification is preferred
Basic understanding of topics related to immunology, biochemistry, and molecular biology
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and/or other data analysis software
Skills and Abilities
Proficiency in English language, both verbal and written
H ighly-organized with proven time management and prioritization skills
· Adept at managing multiple projects
· Strong data recording and note taking skills
· Ability to work collaboratively with various teams to achieve team goals
· Goal-oriented individual with demonstrated record of achievement

The Research Associate will assist in the development of recombinant proteins and technologies, as well as antibody-based workflow solutions including Western Blot, ELISA, Flow Cytometry, and IF applications. You will work with R&D and manufacturing team members to develop new products in support of the company’s growth strategy. This is a highly collaborative role where you will directly impact the company’s revenue growth.
The Research Associate works as part of a multidisciplinary team performing standard molecular biology techniques, protein purification and analysis, and cell culture maintenance. Clear communication skills, careful execution with attention to details, and excellent record keeping are a must. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment as a part of a highly focused team of motivated scientists.
