Description
Seeking a Research Associate to participate in the development of agents for the early interception/prevention of cancer. Candidates will join a laboratory nationally recognized for its long-standing contribution to the area of cancer prevention, and conduct innovative translational research focused on colorectal cancer and other cancers. Ongoing projects include preclinical studies funded by the NCI PREVENT Program and the NCI Cancer Prevention/Interception Targeted Agent Discovery Program at Fox Chase Cancer Center, led by Dr. Margie Clapper. Eligible applicants will possess a Ph.D. in the Physical or Biological Sciences or an M.D. and have more than 5 years of postdoctoral research training and hands-on experience performing in vivo efficacy studies in mouse models. He/she will have excellent written and oral communications skills and an ability to work independently to perform mechanistic experiments, analyze data, publish findings in high impact journals, and aid in the preparation of grant applications. This experience is expected to facilitate the applicant’s goal of becoming an independent investigator.

Doctorate Degree : Physical or Biological Sciences (Required)
Post Doctorate Degree: Ph.D or MD (Required)
Experience
5 Years experience analyzing and interpreting results using statistics (Required)
5 Years experience in scientific writing and oral communication (Required)
5 Years experience with a college level knowledge and understanding of key scientific concepts (Required)
5 Years experience with general lab techniques at a college or company level (Required)
