Our client, a world-leading Pharmaceutical Company in Bothell, WA is currently looking for a Research Associate to join their expanding team.
Job Title: Research Associate / Cell Culture / Pharma Industry
Duration: 12 months contract, extendable up to 36 months
Location: Bothell, WA
Note:

Research Associate
Summary:
Client is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Research Associate I who will be part of the Upstream Process Development group.
The position will primarily work in developing phase-appropriate processes to support the development of Client therapies in Client.
The candidate will also assist in continuous process improvement focused on technology development and electronic lab notebooks.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility for all aspects of mammalian cell culture, including media and buffer preparation, culture initiation, and propagation of cells
Performance of basic laboratory protocol studies, including basic calculations and data analysis
Accurate and reliable record keeping including database management, batch records, notebooks, and all pertinent documentation
Bioreactor inoculation, maintenance and sampling in support of experiments
Performance of general laboratory tasks, including maintenance of equipment
Follow Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to all safety and company policies.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or BS in Biology, Biotechnology or other relevant area of scientific training OR;
A minimum of 2 3+ years' relevant work experience consistent with the anticipated responsibilities detailed above
Bacterial / cell culture experience required
Demonstrated and proficient skills in standard mammalian cell culture procedures and associated aseptic techniques is preferred but not required
Experience using basic laboratory equipment and carrying out routine laboratory tasks; knowledge of safe laboratory procedures
The ability to multitask and think critically and creatively and willingness to learn
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with others in a dynamic and highly collaborative environment
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent verbal/written communication skills
Highly proactive in responding to changing scenarios, committed and driven to learn and contribute
Applicant may support work on a shifted work schedule to cover a weekend day
