Position Summary

L2 is seeking a Research Assistant to provide the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Enterprise Integration (OEI) with professional program and project management support for the planning and execution of a broad range of management and business services. The OEI requires program and project management, strategic planning, performance measurement, quality measurement, business process reengineering, business process improvement, business process management, change management, and transition support services for multiple business lines with needs/requirements that will change over time. This effort will include managing multiple complex and diverse project teams as there are four business lines with constantly changing mission requirements and robust portfolios. This role will be remote with some onsite work in Washington, DC.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Performs tasks which support the relevant research of a project.
• Conduct literature reviews and other relevant research to gather information, assess findings, and contribute to the development of the project's research framework.
• Support the development of project deliverables such as position papers, guides and cognitive interview materials.
• Provide administrative support for research tasks, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials for team discussions, and tracking project progress
• Maintain and update project documents, files, and records, ensuring all information is accurate, well-organized, and accessible for the team.
• Utilize external databases, libraries, and other resources to gather supplementary data, materials, or references for research tasks and deliverables.
• Work collaboratively with team members, project leads, and stakeholders to support the research project, contributing ideas and findings where appropriate.
• Track and report on the progress of assigned tasks, ensuring deadlines are met and project milestones are achieved.
• Ensure all research activities adhere to ethical guidelines and institutional policies.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Public Policy, or a related field.
• Proven experience (4+ years) in research support.
• Proficiency in research tools.
• Familiarity with research methodologies, data collection, and literature review processes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Office 365 suite of programs to include SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio.
• Knowledge of and experience with VA Information Systems is desired.
• Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a clearance.
