Research Assistant Professor - Electrical and Computer Engineering - ( FAC003309 ) Organization: H0070 Electrical Engineering Salary Commensurate with Experience Description The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of Houston invites applications for a Research Assistant Professor (non-tenure track) opening in the area of redox-active organic materials for all-solid-state batteries. This research is conducted by highly dynamic team members with diverse backgrounds. The candidates are expected to assume a leadership position in several aspects of this research effort. Thus, prior experience in the supervision of masters, Ph.D. and/or Post-Doctoral level team members, and excellent oral and written communication skills, as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications and presentations are required. QualificationsPh.D. or equivalent is required. The candidate is expected to have a strong experimental background in electrochemistry, organic electrode materials, and spectroscopy, with a strong background in organic materials synthesis and experience in all-solid-state alkali metal batteries (e.g., Li, Na).
