Scope of Responsibilities:
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all Clinical Trials being worked on by the Practice
- File patient records in paper charts
- Phone screen potential study patients using provided script/list of eligibility questions
- Communicate effectively with patients in a clinical setting with confidence and kindness
- Scan documents and file in appropriate patient chart in EMR
- Enter clinical research data into appropriate fields (data entry)
- Transfer data from paper records and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) to a clinical trial database via computer, or any means necessary, that will then be passed on to a pharmaceutical company, government agency or research institution interested in the further development or release of the product under study
- Complete paperwork, respond to emails
- Audit and inventory research trial materials, requesting or purchasing consumables if required
- Possibility to perform simple medical duties such as collecting basic vital signs and physical measurements
- Ensure all clinical specimens are handled appropriately
- Ensure all shipping protocols are followed correctly and kept to schedule
- Monitor temperature logs on a daily, weekly and monthly basis for the duration of the trial
- Understand IRB requirements
- Any other tasks delegated by the Senior or other Clinical Research Coordinator
- Ensure Nextech records are kept in accordance with clinical trial requirements, making edits if necessary
Performance Requirements:
- Prior experience handling research responsibilities preferred
- Proficient computer skills
- Self-directed and able to work without supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Experience with Nextech or other EMR system beneficial
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent clinical research experience
- Good Clinical Practice Certification

- May require occasional bending and lifting up to 25 pounds.
- May require periodic travel.
