This position would be ideal for someone who has research experience and strong project management skills
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct community-based qualitative research with people with disabilities. This is a hybrid role, with some remote work and some in-person work; in-person work will be conducted in the Springfield, MA area (mileage reimbursement is available.)

- Facilitating focus groups
- Conducting interviews
- Conducting surveys by phone
- Recruiting participants for research activities via community outreach and developing partnerships with other organizations.
- Coordinate with partner organizations to facilitate research studies.
- Working with other DPC staff to develop research materials such as surveys and interview guides.
- Compile research data and assist with reporting.
- Assist with budgeting, invoicing, and documentation.
- Support and assist with relevant training.
- Prepare documentation for project-related meetings.
- Conduct literature reviews and conduct research regarding best practices, standards and guidelines, innovative policies, and approaches to community-based research.
- Assist in the preparation of publications, presentations, and reports.
- Communicate and partner with internal and external stakeholders and cross-functional teams, including DPC staff, research partners, and others.
- Periodic travel to research sites and partnership meetings throughout Massachusetts and New England.
REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 2 years of qualitative research experience.
- Fluent in Spanish
- Lived experience with disability or demonstrated experience working around the issues of disability and intersectionality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and successfully manage multiple projects.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work independently.
- A collaborative spirit, the ability to see another’s point of view, empathy, and the ability to identify a path forward in ambiguous situations.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to lead and influence without authority.
- Ability to successfully develop and maintain strong working relationships between both cross-functional internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, master's degree is preferred.
- Experience with community-based research is a plus.
- Current MA driver's license and ability to use own vehicle (with mileage reimbursement) is preferred.
This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits including 3 weeks of paid vacation and 2 weeks of paid sick time per year, fully paid dental and life insurance coverage, reimbursement of health insurance premium costs, and 13 paid holidays per year.
