Who We Are:
The Strategic Aerospace Department Office of the Director provides guidance and direction to a multi-disciplinary team of engineers that provides cutting edge engineering development services to the USAF. This position has the option of being a fully remote in the following states: AL, AZ, AR, Dis. of Columbia, FL, GA, MA, MD, MI, MN, NH, NC, OH, OK, OR, TX, UT, VA, WV only. The alternate work location is San Antonio, Tx.
Objectives of this Role:
- Develop advanced proven Physics-based AI/ML algorithms/models.
- Support innovating/cutting edge research in the areas of AI as applied to Systems and or UAS/Avionics subsystems.
- Be the system architect for AI development.
- Work with multidisciplinary staff (scientists, analysists and engineers) to delivery cutting edge AI solutions to programs.
- Write proposals, articles, and attend conferences.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
- Develop Solutions for AI systems and embedded Avionics systems and subsystems.
- Develop Solutions for Aircraft AI/ML sensor fusion.
- Review AI/ML algorithms to verify/validate it meets integrated design requirements.
- Monitor all AI progress on projects and research.
- Integrate with a multidisciplinary engineering team to develop AI related hardware.
Requirements:
- Requires a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Systems Engineering, Physics or directly related degree field with a focus on UAS, Avionics, AI, and or Machine Learning.
- 2+ years: Machine Learning as applied to Data Science and technology.
- 2+ years: Developing AI and other software in Python, Tensor Flow, Keras, PyTorch.
- 2+ years: Developing firmware.
- A valid/clear driver's license is required.
