About the Job
Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for two Research Analysts who will serve as a Community Health Workers on a new grant under the Division of HIV and STD Programs - Disease Control Bureau. The Community Health Workers will assist with implementation of activities to enhance and expand meaningful HIV Cluster Detection and Response (CDR) community engagement. They will build partnerships with Community Based Organizations who serve populations affected by HIV. This position facilitate community meetings, education sessions, focus groups and key informant interviews to collect qualitative and quantitative data to guide local CDR response planning and implementation. They will work with community partners to develop communication materials and reports. These Community Health Workers will be expected to perform their duties according to a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend hours. These Community Health Workers will participate in other program activities as needed, conference calls, and staff meetings.
The position will start immediately upon acceptance and employment clearance and is initially funded 7/31/25.
Pay Rate-
$34.89per hour

- Experience engaging community and community-based organizations
- Strong organizational and time management skillsExcellent oral communication skills
- An understanding of a range of HIV prevention and care interventions is a plus.
- A master's degree in a field of the behavioral or social sciences and one year's post master's research experience -or-
- A bachelor's degree in a field of the behavioral or social sciences and any combination of relevant education and/or experience totaling three years; and
- A valid Class C California Drivers License, proof of vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation for travel to a variety of sites throughout Los Angeles County.
