Responsibilities:Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilizes OSUWMC data sources to create analytic products on patient populations, outcomes, clinical
care, billing and scheduling processes and the associated impact of improvement efforts. - Develops written procedures and user documentation for data analysis and reporting
- Produces information for administrative, billing and clinical presentations and decision support.
- Interprets complex access and clinical data specifications and validates reports for improvement
initiatives. - Participates in ongoing education on analytic best practices, new technology and innovation on
predictive and prescriptive analytic methods. - Adheres to project plans, meets deadlines and time frames and notifies management immediately of any
issues that could delay/impact the projects. - Works with vendors and internal analysts to meet regulatory, government, third-party insurer and other
third party data requirements. - Develops recommendations based on data requirements.
- Adheres to OSUP and the OSU Health System’s established policies and procedures and maintains
strict confidentiality of all data and information. - Demonstrate cost-effective use of supplies and of own time and others’ time; systematically organizes
and prioritizes work. - Ability to perform functions using job-related software and systems.
- Travel may be required to accommodate staffing levels at other clinical facilities.
- Attendance, promptness, professionalism, the ability to pay attention to detail, cooperativeness with co-workers
and supervisors, and politeness to customers, vendors, and patients.
Requirements: Bachelor of Science in engineering, information systems, business analytics or related field, or an equivalent amount of work experience. Knowledge of healthcare database management, data collection, and statistical analysis preferred. An ideal candidate should have considerable experience in computer applications including strong knowledge in relational databases (SQL is a must), predictive/prescriptive analysis methods, and proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics software is desired. Candidate should be able to interpret incoming analytic requests to generate the analytic product necessary to meet the requirements and create actionable recommendations based off of that information. Candidate should possess strong communication skills and demonstrate the initiation and completion of projects, self-motivation and ability to work independently while being a team player.
Pay Range:USD $76,353.00 - USD $114,530.00 /Yr.
