The Repair Assessment Technician disassembles, cleans and inspects used centrifuges or parts
Responsibilities / Tasks
- Disassemble complete centrifuges or subassemblies of centrifuges.
- Cleans deposits on centrifuge part using a process that is appropriate for the nature of the deposit.
- Maintains cleaning solutions and supplies
- Performs nondestructive testing of highly stressed parts using the dye penetration test method.
- Records test findings in a dye test report and consults with the Product Safety Officer on any and all relevant findings.
- Coordinates for further processing of parts with relevant findings as agreed upon with the Product Safety Officer
- Visually inspects all repair parts and compiles a detailed inspection report.
- Measures critical fits on parts
- Records inspection findings and measurements in an inspection report and documents major damages with pictures
- Reviews and completes required documentation and administrative paperwork in a timely manner.
- Maintains a clean and organized environment.
- Follows all QHSE rules and regulatory requirements.
